Administrative Support Monitor (Part-Time)
Description:
The purpose of the Administrative Support Monitor at Capitol Hill Group Ministry (CHGM) is to provide clerical assistance and support services to low-income and homeless consumers that visit “Shirley’s Place” – a Day Hospitality Center on Capitol Hill.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Program Manager and Shirley’s Place staff with daily administrative needs
- Maintain a responsive, professional administrative office (answer phones, take messages, send/receive/respond to email queries, maintain calendar of events)
- Assist in supervising activities and services at the Day Center
- Offer information and guidance to families who are seeking shelter resources by phone and in person
- Assist with administrative detail of CHGM’s annual special events (to include, but not limited to: Back Pack drive for homeless children, Thanksgiving Basket Distribution, Community Day events, Christmas toy drive)
- Process in-kind donations and interface with CHGM donors and volunteers
- Regularly update Nightly Census Reports
- Maintain client and organizational resource database
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent at minimum
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Be personable, well organized and assertive
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to work with at-risk populations
- Ability to be flexible in support of the varying needs of participating families
