Family strengthening, family development, and support for neighborhood families Our Family Resource Center located in Potomac Gardens offers family support and development services for Ward 6 parents who want to improve their children's quality of life. The Center provides prevention, support and intervention for families at risk of child abuse and neglect, in partnership with the South Washington/West of the River Family Strengthening Collaborative. To make a referral or to inquire about services, please call Nicole Lawrence, Family Services Coordinator, at 202.548.0548. Primary services include: intensive case management, advocacy, and information and referral services for neighborhood families. Through our partners in the Collaborative, we also link families to training programs on a variety of topics, including financial and budgeting workshops and parenting skills.
