Shelter Hotline

Hypothermia is a life-threatening condition that could afflict homeless people living on the streets when the temperature falls below 32 degrees Fahrenheit, or the wind chill factor creates the same effect.

Please call 800.535.7252 if you see someone on the streets when the temperature is below 32 degrees. The links below provide information about the District's Hypothermia Watch Program and other programs that help the homeless.
