Street Outreach

Capitol Hill Group Minstry’s Street Outreach Services works to build personal relationships with the chronically homeless individuals of Ward 6. Three days a week, our Street Outreach coordinator and volunteer teams provide our neighbors with both direct services as well as information and referrals to other services offered throughout the city. Our Street Outreach team aims to empower and provide hope for families and individuals so that they may lead healthy, fulfilling, and productive lives as they choose on their own.
In 2011, Street Outreach assisted more than 499 people through out the Capitol Hill/Ward 6 Community.
Much of the work accomplished by our Street Outreach Service is made possible through the various volunteer groups and individuals who donate their time to help the neediest members of our community. Throughout the Hyperthermia months, our volunteer teams can be seen distributing bottled waters, bagged lunches, healthy snacks, and other vitally needed assistance. Perhaps the most important service delivered to our chronically homeless neighbors is a friendly face and conversation.

CHGM’s Street Outreach Service is always looking for more volunteer groups and individuals to help assist our Street Outreach Coordinator. If you would like more information, please contact Jacob Wilkins at Wilkins@chgm.net.
