As we seek to serve those
who most need it, we find that we are in need of various items to
sustain our programs. Please check this list for opportunities for you
to serve our neighbors! Your support widens the circle of compassion to
include the many individuals and families who come to CHGM for
assistance. To make a donation, simply bring the item to any of our locations or email
info@chgm.net.
Family Needs:
- Safeway and Giant gift cards ($10, $20,
$30)
- Disposable diapers
- Gift cards to department stores - such
as Target, Payless, Wal-Mart and Hecht’s
- Restaurant gift certificates – to treat
the families to an afternoon out
- Fast food dollars - for McDonald's, KFC,
Subway and others for our homeless neighbors
Professional Needs:
- Gift certificates to hair salons - for
women preparing for job interviews
- Metro Passes and Bus Tokens – to get to
and from interviews, training or school
Children’s Items:
- Arts and Craft activities
- Donations of nutritious snacks - peanut
butter, canned tuna, macaroni and cheese, fruit cups, juice boxes, etc
- Educational items - 6-7 pocket
dictionaries, flash cards, multiplication and alphabet chart
- A baby swing for a 4 month old baby
Personal Items:
- Soap
- Toothpaste and Toothbrushes
- Shampoo and Conditioner
- Deodorant
- Bottled water for our neighbors outside
in the summer heat
- Razors and Shaving Cream
- Alcohol wipes
- Women's personal care items
- Small Combs
